KeelBase reads your deck, interior and side-view drawings and proposes every system — winches, rigging, engine, seacocks and more — already positioned on the right map. Prefer to do it by hand? Use “+ Add Component” to add systems one at a time.

What is KeelBase?
KeelBase is a maintenance and crew-operations platform for boats. It brings visual deck, interior and side-view boat maps, component records, crew tasks, service history, shopping approvals and sail inventory into one workspace — so a boat's whole operation lives in one place instead of scattered spreadsheets and group chats.
Who is KeelBase for?
Private boat owners, racing crews and syndicates, sailing schools and clubs, and charter or commercial fleet operators. It works for a single boat and scales to a fleet, with boat-specific crew access throughout.
Do I need to be technical to set up my boat?

Can I manage more than one boat or a whole fleet?
Yes. KeelBase is built for fleets as well as single boats. Each boat is its own workspace, crew get boat-specific access, and a fleet referral code ties everything together under a shared overview.
How does crew access and permissions work?
Access is role-based and controlled by admins. Each crew member sees the boats, tasks and approvals that apply to them through the My Work dashboard, while admins decide who can view or edit each boat.
How much does it cost?
KeelBase is free while it's in beta — every feature is unlocked and no card is required. The plans (private owner, race crew, fleet) are a preview of how it will be priced later, scaling by boat length, crew size or fleet size; we'll give plenty of notice before any charges begin.
Can I use KeelBase on my phone?
Yes. KeelBase runs in any modern browser on phone, tablet and desktop, and can be installed to your home screen as an app for quick access on the dock.
How is my data handled?
KeelBase uses role-based access so only the right people see each boat, keeps cookies to the essentials needed for sign-in (no built-in marketing tracking), and runs regular automated backups. Your boat, crew, task and service data stays structured and owned by your team.
How do I get support?
